Special Education

From its inception, our District’s Fall planning Sprint Teams and the Superintendent Council for Innovative Learning have aspired to develop a comprehensive and integrated plan for reopening that addresses the needs of all students, to include students with special education needs in each of the five crucial systems of support: Health and Safety, Instruction, Social/Emotional, Nutrition, and Technology.
Taking into consideration their recommendations and the guidance issued within the San Diego County Office of Education’s Recovery and Reopening Plan, the following key commitments will be incorporated into our district’s reopening plan. These commitments will ensure that the unique needs of our students with disabilities, to include our most vulnerable student populations, are carefully considered and appropriately addressed.
