CSUSM: OUR LOCAL UNIVERSITY

California State University, San Marcos (CSUSM; also called Cal State San Marcos) is our nearest university. This past fall, (CSUSM) and Vista Unified School District signed an agreement guaranteeing college admission for Vista Unified students who fulfill some basic requirements. This means that beginning with the class of 2017, all VUSD students who stay on track with attendance, grades and a-g requirements will automatically earn a place in college! WHAT IS CTE?

CTE stands for Career Technical Education and it's a fabulous division of education that focus on vocational sectors, preparing students for specific careers. All Vista Unified high schools offer various CTE courses where students can earn CTE certificates verifying learned and developed competencies of abilities and knowledge. There are 15 Industry Sectors that CTE focuses on (click on any industry sector to learn more): Agriculture and Natural Resources; Arts, Media, & Entertainment; Building and Construction Trades; Business and Finance; Education, Child Development, and Family Services;Energy, Environment, & Utilities; Engineering & Architecture; Fashion and Interior Design; Clickhere and here to learn more about CTE.
