I am very honored and excited to present this Year in Review Report to the Community on the impressive success of our educational programs. Vista Unified students posted powerful academic results on state assessments. Our district was recognized as a top ten performing district in San Diego County. We received state recognition for our work closing the academic achievement gap. Vista Unified received a national award in music and the performing arts. We have expanded our career pathways and partnerships with local and regional businesses. Our facility improvement efforts through the Measure LL Facility Bond made possible by local taxpayers have been recognized as exemplary by multiple agencies including the San Diego Taxpayers Association, S&P Global Rating, independent auditors, and our Citizen’s Bond Oversight Committee. We are just a few weeks away from completing the entire school rebuild of Bobier Elementary School.
