Data Insights

The Vista Unified School District uses a variety of data to monitor the growth of our students over time. We utilize a whole child approach to view multiple measures of success in order to better serve our students. The instructional programs in Vista Unified are carefully aligned to the California Department of Education’s MTSS framework. This framework outlines a multi-tiered system of support that identifies student learning in three areas of achievement: behavioral, social-emotional, and academic. To translate learning into real-world application, students need to have knowledge and expertise in all three areas.

Data Insight reports are developed periodically to report on a variety of metrics identified in our School Board Goals. Data on student, school, and district measures become available at different times of the year, so each report has a unique focus area with up to date information. Individual Data Insights reports are made publicly available in Community Updates throughout the school year, and the full volume of reports are provided on this website. Please see additional resources below for further information.
