Purpose Statement

The purpose of the Planning Team's studies, prototypes, and test cases is to engage in a purposeful continuous cycle of improvement using a design thinking methodology to advance operational excellence throughout the district.

Featured studies, prototypes, and test cases to be shared on this page by the end of the fourth quarter of 2023 include:

• Grounds Department (Prototype): Water reduction through AI irrigation. 
• Grounds Department (Test Case): Dry-Scape and native plant. 
• Transportation (Test Case): First cycle of electrification of bus and logistic fleet.
• Operations and Maintenance (Study): Business Energy Solutions (BES) study and retrofit - formerly K-12 Energy Efficiency Program (KEEP)
• Maintenance (Study): CalSHAPE ventilation and air quality studies.
