Transitional Kindergarten

 

 

VUSD provides Transitional Kindergarten for students who turn five years old between September 2 and December 2. Transitional Kinder is a two year program for students meeting the age requirement. The first year is called Transitional and provides an academic bridge using state adopted materials for younger students. Year two is Traditional kinder using curriculum based on the K-5 district adopted materials. This program is offered at twelve elementary sites in Vista.
