Behavior & School Discipline
Student Support Services provides professional development, consultation and support for our schools to implement positive behavioral expectations and systems of support to ensure that all students are developing mindsets, behaviors and habits that are conducive to a safe and restorative school culture.
Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS)
Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) is an evidence-based three-tiered framework to improve and integrate all of the data, systems, and practices affecting student outcomes every day. PBIS creates schools where all students succeed.
Each of our schools is engaging in a multi-year process to develop strong multi-tiered systems of support and intervention through PBIS. Schools are evaluated on an annual basis to measure progress toward state recognition levels (bronze, silver, gold)

Peace Building
In partnership with the Tariq Khamisa Foundation (TKF) , we have full time Peace Builders on secondary campuses to provide direct support to students to develop inclusive, compassionate and restorative school cultures through school assemblies, small group interventions and continuous relationship-building.
Behavior Expectations and School Discipline
Expectations for behavior and school discipline are shared with students and families through our annual notifications during registration and each school provides specific information about their PBIS plans and district-wide processes through their School Handbooks.
