Vista Unified has implemented Single Sign On (SSO) for many of the educational technology programs we are using throughout the district. Click on ClassLink to sign in (9 digit number and your password, just like you do at school) and access your applications.

Assessment Platforms

Amira is our English Language Arts (ELA) Assessment platform for elementary. This provides an ELA diagnostic assessment once a trimester as well as the learning dashboard for students to enhance their skills.

Capti is the Reading Assessment for high school students. They complete this assessment up to three times per school year. 

i-Ready is used in elementary and middle school. 
Elementary students complete a Math diagnostic once a trimester.
Middle school students complete their English Language Arts (ELA) and Math diagnostic once a trimester.

NWEA: MAP is the Math assessment for all high school students. They complete this assessment up to twice a school year.

The list of apps and digital tools provided below represents resources that may be available to students at school. Please note that students will not use every app on this list. Teachers and schools select tools based on grade level, instructional needs, and curriculum alignment. Access may vary by classroom, subject, and student learning goals. Please reach out to your child's teacher(s) to see which apps are available to access and practice using at home.

ABC Mouse: early learning activities.

Acheive 3000:  nonfiction reading & comprehension practice

Book Creator: write and illustrate digital books.

Brain Pop/Jr.: educational videos with quizzes.

ChatterPix Kids: make photos "talk".

code.org: coding lessons, game and app creation.

CoSpaces Edu: students create 3D worlds, code interactions, and design VR/AR experiences.

Duolingo ABC: reading and language practice.

Epic!: digital library of children's books.

Explain Everything: interactive white board for ipads.

Google Suite: student have access to create slide decks, docs, sheets and forms. 

Happy Numbers: math concept practice.

Imagine Learning: language support and reading development.

Khan Academy: interactive math, reading and problem-solving.

Lexia Core 5: personalized literacy instruction.

MagicSchool AI: brainstorming, idea generation and writing support.

Newsela: current events & nonfiction articles leveled for students.

PBIS Rewards: behavior management & recognition system.

PebbleGo: research database for younger learners.
