If you have a new, incoming Kindergarten or TK age student, the pre-enrollment process will begin on March 1, 2023.

Kindergarten & TK Registration Flyer (Bilingüe)
If your child is currently enrolled in TK in VUSD, your child will not need to complete the pre-registration process, as they are already enrolled and have an Aeries profile. You will only need to complete the data confirmation process in July.
Expansion of Transitional Kindergarten
In the 2021-22 school year, children were eligible to enroll in TK if they had their 5th birthday between September 2 and December 2, 2021.
In 2022-23 the TK age eligibility dates will expand to include children who will turn 5 between September 2 and February, 2023. The class size maximum will decrease to 24 with 2 adults per 12 children.
In the 2023-24 school year, the age range will expand further to include those who turn 5 between September 2 - April 2, 2024 and the adult to child ratio will remain at 1:12.
In the 2024-25 school year, the age range will expand further to include those who turn 5 between September 2 - June 2, 2024 and the adult to child ratio may decrease to 1:10.
By the 2025-26 school year, all 4 year olds will be eligible to enroll in TK.
