The first Performance Framework Brief: Volume 1 is now available!

PERFORMANCE FRAMEWORK GOALS, PURPOSE AND PROCESS

Performance Framework

Effective instructional and assessment practices, instructional coherence, and meaningful learning opportunities that promote student agency are hallmarks of the VUSD Performance Framework. The VUSD Performance Framework bridges multiple grades and elements of learning, as well as bridges early learning and the K-12 learning pathway.

The Performance Framework will be solidly grounded in research and evidence-based practice, as well as integrate input from all stakeholders. The Framework will be developed over the course of three years.

The initial phase of development includes cycles of design and refinement based on input and feedback from teachers and administrators, as well as ongoing review of literature. Guidance and recommendation will primarily come from monthly P-3 Continuum Teacher Think Tank Meetings. Teachers will provide input, feedback and recommendations on the structure, content and function of the Performance Framework.
