Welcome to Vista Virtual School

Vista Virtual School is our newest system of support intended to provide remote access to a host of resources and learning experiences for all students. This website will serve as the hub for our virtual learning system.

Please find below a simple outline of the virtual school support system. Instructional supports are connected with supports for social emotional, health and safety, nutrition, and technology to provide a comprehensive system for our students and families during this emergency time.

​The Vista Unified School District will continue to provide resources to support our students and families’ social emotional needs. Please refer to the Social and Emotional Support website for more information. 

Families and students can contact their school counselor directly, with contact numbers and emails listed on school websites, or can contact Student Support Services at (760) 726-2170, extension 92180.

FOR STUDENTS: Child Nutrition Services (CNS) continues to serve meals that include lunches and breakfasts at six locations around the district. These will occur every Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at six sites with the exception of Boys & Girls Club (hours are from 11 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.) and include meals for the entire week. WaveCrest staff will be available to provide support for families at 760-726-2170, extension 92400.

FOR FAMILIES: ​The Family and Community Engagement (FACE) Network continues to maintain its various systems of support for families, including maintaining weekly food distributions for students and families.

The Vista Unified School District will continue to monitor the emergency and provide regular updates on our Health and Safety website.

Chromebooks are available to check out for students who do have access to a desktop computer or laptop at home.  There are also a limited amount of WiFi hotspots available to check out to families.  Chromebooks and hotspots will be distributed based on need.  Please contact your school site if you need to check out any devices.

The Informational Technology staff will be available to provide technical support for families, Monday-Friday from 8:00am to 3:00pm by phone at 760-726-2170, extension 92500.

The Superintendent's Council for Innovative Learning will serve as the hub for gathering feedback and recommendations in the coming weeks for the design for a successful launch to the 2020-21 school year in August. Please refer to the Fall 2020 Design Plan for more information on this process.
