State law requires that the School Board establish an independent Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee (CBOC) consisting of community volunteers and no District employees.

The CBOC’s fundamental responsibilities and capacities include

  • To inform the public by issuing a written report, at least annually, concerning the expenditure of bond proceeds from Proposition LL.
  • To review expenditures to ensure that bond proceeds are expended only for the purposes set forth in the ballot measure.
