SKATEBOARDS AND FOLDING KICK SCOOTERS

Safety Issue Reminder: skateboards and folding kick scooters are only to be transported on the school bus in a closed backpack or carry-on scooter bag.

It was brought to our attention that students are showing up at the pick-up location with their skateboards and folding kick scooters not in a closed backpack or carry-on scooter bag.

Effective October 18, 2016 skateboards and folding kick scooters will not be transported on the school bus unless they are in a closed backpack or carry-on scooter bag.

Riding the school bus is an extension of the classroom where the same rules apply. For the students safety, we ask that each student abide by the following bus rules:

• Observe same conduct as in the classroom.
• Be courteous and do not use profane language.
• Do not eat or drink while on the bus.
• Keep the bus clean.
• Cooperate with the bus driver.
• Do not be destructive on the bus

A good bus rider is one that....

• Keeps your hands to yourself.
• Sits bottom to bottom.
• Sits back to back.
• Keeps feet towards the floor.
• Talks quietly and appropriately.
• Don't jump on or over the seats.
• Don't eat or drink beverages on the bus, you may drink water.
