Debbie Morton retired in 2017 after 24 years of service to the students of VUSD. Since then, Mrs. Morton hasn’t stopped working diligently on behalf of our students. She’s currently serving as our Board of Trustees Clerk and is fully committed and engaged with helping many of our VUSD committee’s including the Negotiations Team for both CSEA & VTA, Magnet Steering Committee, Career Superhighway Committee, Committees serving our Special Education & Counselors and our Calendar committee.

Debbie has 4 daughters, 3 of which graduated from RBV and her youngest currently attending. One of the joys of Debbie’s retirement is the flexibility to spend as much time as she can with her grandchildren who also attend our schools. This perspective, coupled with all of her years of experience in the classroom, gives Debbie firsthand knowledge of how critical the job is to put students first and to support our families as much as possible so that every student is given the opportunity they deserve to excel and highlight their individual strengths.

Trustee Morton was elected in 2018 and represents District 2 which includes eastern portions of Vista and a small portion of San Marcos.
