Rosemary Smithfield was elected in 2016. She spent 30 years as a classroom teacher, the last 23 were with the Vista Unified School District.

She lives in Jeffries Ranch and represents Trustee Area 1, which includes the northern portion of our district. All four of her children attended Vista schools and graduated from Vista High School.

As a trustee, she wants students to be the number one priority in all district decisions. "I believe in educating the whole child, therefore touching upon every student's learning style leading to success", she said.
